Rachel's Wickedly Delicious Yogurt

A couple of people in my program are all into this yogurt, claiming they can't eat Yoplait anymore and stuff.

I usually eat Yoplait and consider it something of an indulgence compared to the other brands. Cuz we never bought Yoplait when I was young. Maybe the cost has come down since then? I am kind of sick of even Yoplait though, just not in the mood for yogurt anymore.

I think I have to try this stuff though, even though it is only carried by Whole Foods here (and in Honolulu, in case you were wondering), which probably means it will be super expensive. Okay so I figured it would be on the pricy side anyway, but still... I also hate their categorization of some of their flavors as "Exotic" but whatever, they sound good. Especialy the Vanilla Chai--I think I will try that one first.

I'm also interested in their cottage cheese, especially the savory ones: Cucumber Dill, Sun Dried Tomato Pesto. I am usually more interested in savory than sweet flavors. And I love cottage cheese! I remember hearing a critique about how it was like the crappy diet version of real cheese, but I never knew that! When I was little we would eat it with canned peaches, pears, or pineapples. I loved having some salt with my fruits. I guess we stopped eating it when we grew out of canned fruit, but I never knew it was a diet food until I was like a teenager or something. I guess I didn't know what a diet food was until then... but anyway, just wanted to share this find, which I am hoping to try soon!

I know, I am a massive yogurt snob. I've been eating Yoplait for a long time, and it's not like it's not good, but I'm just really sick of the flavors. Blah.

Today I am trying the Cherry Black Currant. I will report my findings via IM.

Hmm, maybe I should try this yogurt too. I got to sample Starbucks' greek yogurt, honey, and granola parfait and now I really want to buy some greek yogurt but the Safeway by my house didn't have any. :( Maybe I can only get that at Whole Foods too. *sigh*

I've been wanting to try Greek yogurt too. I wonder if they would have it at like the market in Kahala, or Kailua... maybe even that Safeway in Manoa...

also, I dreamt about Rachel's yogurt last night! I was at the store, in line to pay, and thinking 'Oh, I should've went and looked for yogurt!' Then I saw some right near the checkout and told the cashier to add one onto my bill (and worried that it would be like $4).

I can't find regular fatty yogurt at the market. Everything is lowfat or fat free. It's all corn starch.

Thanks for reminding me about cottage cheese and fruit. We used to eat that too and i sort of forgot about it.

No just regular yogurt that isn't low fat or fat free with the corn starch taste. I think i need to go to the Kapahulu Safeway or Star.

I never saw cottage cheese and fruit outside of home, but seems like there's stuff online about people eating it before.

What about Tillamook? Its been my Yoplait replacement.

Tillamook makes yogurt? I know their cheese is supposed to be good, but we don't buy it cuz the super cheap stuff is good enough for us. How's the price of their yogurt?

since we moved here, its been the same price as Yoplait (its been on sale the whole time). I keep thinking, I should stock up while its on sale (as much as you can stock up yogurt), but then the next week, its on sale again. And I'm okay with that!
