Favorite Starbucks in Hawai'i: Waimalu Shopping Center

This location did not charge me for the "splash of soy" in my Americano (which I am pretty sure is the right way to do things because it's the same as adding free creamer) and they also put the right amount of soy--not too much. I'm wondering if these two things are related--like the people who put too much soy charge me because they think I want a lot.

ooh, i know a little about this. i think they aren't supposed to charge you since you only want a little bit. my boss that used to work at starbucks wouldn't charge if the person was just adding it to their brewed coffee since it's just a little and would be the same as "creamer" but would charge if say they got a soy latte. of course, this also depended on who was working that day, my other boss charged no matter what.

BUT, not to be advertising for them but supposedly if you register your starbucks card, all added flavors and i'm pretty sure soy too, are then free when using your card to pay.

yes i heard about that! but also, i think in the past two days waikele and mililani town center also are making my americanos with splash of soy much better. my crackpot theory is they just had training or something.

Actually, you're right. All starbucks closed down hm, maybe a month ago now(?) for like an hour or two, to receive re-training since their sales have been doing so poorly. So I wouldn't be surprised if their managers have been cracking down on the workers as well. Yay! More consistent coffee!!!

yay, i'm not crazy! omg, and i went to the Seattle's Best in Pearlridge yesterday and it was AWFUL. it took forever to get my order taken and then forever for him to make my drink. i'm pretty sure he was checking the posted sign for how to make an americano too. but there was only one guy working (and a "now hiring" sign out so i guess that's why.) the coffee was fine.
